heath_smHeath Gross FOUNDER & CEO |

As founder and CEO of Sedulo Group, Heath Gross has built Sedulo Group into a world-class provider of competitive intelligence and strategy consulting services. Heath is a seasoned competitive intelligence professional with over ten years of experience in primary research and strategy consulting. He has managed projects across the industry spectrum, including life science, healthcare, professional services, information technology, and manufacturing. As CEO, Heath provides the overall strategic leadership for the company and works with Sedulo Group clients to implement competitive intelligence programs and strategies that enable them to outperform and outmaneuver their competition. Prior to his civil career in competitive intelligence, Heath served as a Counterintelligence Agent with the US Government and as the Special Projects Officer for the Kuwait Residence Office Counter-Terrorism Unit. He was responsible for leading source operations in Eastern Europe, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Djibouti. Heath is actively involved in the competitive intelligence community, serving as a long-time member of SCIP and as head of the Midsouth SCIP Chapter. He is a presenter at Stanford’s Strategic Execution Conference and is a member of Stanford’s Decision Analysis and Risk Management group, which includes SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management). He is a frequent guest lecturer at USC’s School of Pharmacy and the University of Louisville’s School of Business, where he lectures regularly on entrepreneur-ism and competitive intelligence. Stephanie Higdon COO |

Stephanie joined the Sedulo executive leadership team in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer . This position aligns the strategic capabilities of the research team with the company’s business development approach as well as oversees the overall training and development of our employees. Prior to joining, Stephanie spent over ten years in the Healthcare industry creating, leading and executing teams in the areas of Strategic Account Management and Consulting, Client Retention, Product Innovation, and HIT implementation for both Fortune 50 organizations as well as mid-size healthcare technology firms. She also has extensive knowledge and capabilities in Human Resource consulting, leadership development, organizational assessment, market research, and consulting. She has resided in Louisville since completing her BA in History at Bellarmine University and her post-graduate work was completed at the University of Louisville.

Alysse Nockels SENIOR DIRECTOR, BUSINESS SERVICES GROUP | 

Alysse is the Senior Director of the Business Services Group where she is responsible for overall execution of the division including professional development, resource management, business development, and client engagement.  Prior to joining Sedulo, Alysse held Principal Engineer and Director of Competitive Intelligence roles at both McAfee and Intel where she built a competitive intelligence function from the ground-up to world class status.  Accomplishments included recruiting and leading a team of CI professionals, forecasting competitor software releases, influencing product direction and company strategy, and developing competitive positioning for the sales and marketing teams.  Alysse was also a systems engineer and price to win practitioner at Lockheed Martin where she designed shipboard networks and facilitated Navy security accreditation as well as forecasted competitor proposal strategies and derived bid prices for multi-billion dollar competitive government contracts.  Alysse has master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology, held speaker and thought leader roles at numerous CI conferences, earned Competitive Intelligence Professional (CIP)-II certification, served as Chair on the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) Board of Directors, and is Pragmatic Marketing certified.  She resides in Wisconsin and is a Green Bay Packers shareholder.

Heather Rumancik SENIOR DIRECTOR, LIFE SCIENCES | 

Heather is a seasoned CI professional with over ten years of consulting experience, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry. She has supported the efforts of multiple top 20 pharma companies with an average of 3-6 year engagements. Her areas of expertise include immunology, oncology, vaccines, infectious diseases, consumer health, CV, respiratory, CNS, women’s health, medical devices and healthcare technology. She has worked on the life cycle of drug from proof of concept through loss of exclusivity as well as regulatory milestones and timelines. Heather has experience presenting the value proposition of CI intel to diverse audiences with varying needs with an emphasis on best practices.

Matt Blandford SENIOR DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT | 

Matt joined the leadership team in 2017, and is responsible for providing direction for the Business Development division of Sedulo Group. This includes the development and execution of the company’s overall strategic mission, including a focus on marketing, sales development, and account management. Prior to joining Sedulo, Matt provided strategic account management to one of the nation’s leading healthcare technology and consulting firms. In addition to strategic account management, Matt developed and implemented the organization’s Client Retention Program, as well as expanded the organization’s Account Management Program. Matt also has extensive experience in B2B marketing, channel sales, and client support. He is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and received his Bachelors in Business Administration from the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky, with a focus on Business Management. He and his wife reside near Sedulo’s headquarters in Jeffersontown, Ky.

Monica Kelley DIRECTOR, FINANCE | 

Monica joined Sedulo Group in June 2014 as the Corporate Controller. She was promoted to the executive leadership team in 2017 as Finance Director. This position will work closely with the CEO and COO for purposes of strategic planning and overall insight into the financial operations of the company. Prior to joining the company, Monica spent ten years in private equity and ten years in the bank industry where she was responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. She also has extensive knowledge in payroll, human resources, and risk management.  She resides in Louisville  and received both her Bachelors of Science in Accounting and her MBA from Indiana University.

Ben McLain ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT | 

Ben  has supported Sedulo’s business development activities for the past 6 years and currently leads many BD functions as the Associate Director of Business Development. With a background in customer service, as well as sales and marketing experience, Ben brings a fresh and personal approach to his work. He has also developed skills as a strategic and outside-the-box thinker from his time working at an advertising agency in Birmingham, AL. Ben’s main focus at Sedulo is on new business development and building deep client relationships in a wide range of industries spanning automotive, consumer goods, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail, and more. Ben is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where he holds a degree in Marketing, as well as a Master’s Degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Ben enjoys kayak fishing and the outdoors.
